Awards to be Given at the Annual Meeting
December 31, 2014

On January 11, 2015, the New England Antique Racers will be issuing Awards to the owners and drivers who participated in more than 5 events during the 2014 season. This will be your opportunity to recognize your peers who made the effort to attend events sponsored by our organization. I hope the listed award winners (below) will be present to accept their Award and have their photo taken. The photos will record their support in preserving the rich racing history of New England.

This year we will honor Jim Torok with 11 events, the Seller/Blanchette Team with 10 events, Ron Carlson and the Greco/Belmonte/Franco Team with 8 events, Jim Splettstoeszer with 7 events, George Cleveland, Darragh Hoyt and Lloyd Hutchins with 6 events and Spanky Bancroft, Scott Haskell and Barry Roy with 6 events - Congratulations!

The Annual meeting will have food and a cash bar as part of the afternoon activities.

This will also be your chance to meet the newly elected Board of Directors and Officers as well as the Advisory Board who will serve our club for the next two (2) years. Please attend this event and be part of the continuing tradition of membership involvement. I trust you will be at the Dante Club on Memorial Avenue in Springfield, MA, on Sunday, January 11, 2015, at 1pm (across from the Big E).

I would like to thank the people who helped me while I served on the Events and Identities committees as chairman, mainly, Jim Torok, Lloyd Hutchins, Scott Haskell, Megan Blanchette and Rhonda Blanchette. Without their help I would not have been successful.  I also want to thank the other Officers and Board members whom I interacted with as Vice-President. A special "tip of the hat" to Judy Poirier, our webmaster, who I was constantly pestering with items for posting since the new site launch.

I have agreed to serve as Co-Chairman of Events with Jim Williams; it will give me an opportunity to mentor him, share contacts and my process for events.

I have a tentative schedule for 2015; with a few action items for the Annual meeting. I am also waiting for a few tracks to meet in January 2015 for finalization of the schedule. We could always use more people to help in the "running" show events. I will also consider events to add to the schedule. Once the show schedule is posted on February 1, 2015, no additional point shows will be added. Feel free to contact me at with comments or ideas.

Please stop and check out our sponsors listed on the webpage and use their services whenever possible.  Their support helps to make this club financially viable.
